Jacqui O’Keefe

Jacqui O’Keefe has close to 30-years of quality and performance improvement experience and is a champion of continuous improvement in all the processes and organizations she touches. She currently serves as the Director of the Member Quality department at the United Network for Organ Sharing (UNOS). In this capacity, Jacqui provides oversight and leads efforts to assess member compliance with Organ Procurement and Transplantation Network (OPTN) requirements relating to the national solid organ donation and transplantation system. Areas of responsibility include analysis of organ allocation and candidate listing data, monitoring and auditing of member institutions, which include transplant hospitals, organ procurement organizations, and histocompatibility laboratories, investigating patient safety issues, coordination of large scale, national collaborative improvement projects and facilitation of the medical peer review process conducted by the OPTN Membership and Professional Standards Committee.

Jacqui started her quality improvement career working as an ISO 9001 auditor for a logistics company almost 30 years ago, and was first exposed to the Baldrige framework in 2016. She is particularly interested in effective operationalization and optimizing organizational strategy through measurement and workforce deployment and development. In her free time, she enjoys reading, playing with her dogs (and husband) and traveling to new places.
