In keeping with our mission to “… provide training… to organizations in pursuit of performance excellence,” Virginia SPQA offers Baldrige Excellence Framework training events at regional locations and on-site at organizations throughout Virginia and in DC. Regardless of where your organization is on your journey, our goal is to facilitate your understanding and use of the Baldrige Framework. We want to help you achieve best practices in leadership, management, and performance excellence, demonstrated by best-in-class processes and outstanding results.

Public Offerings occur, subject to demand, regionally at various locations across Virginia.

The standard public offering is “The Foundations of Baldrige.” This two-day course offers an in-depth review of the Framework, which includes the Baldrige Criteria for Performance Excellence. The course is intended for individuals and groups from an organizations who are interested in becoming familiar with Baldrige, as well as for those who wish to be more proficient in the Framework. Additionally, the course is a pre-requisite for new Examiners. Registration fees include lunch and a copy of the Framework. The class schedule is posted on the Virginia SPQA homepage for offerings and/or sign up for email notifications. The cost for The Foundations of Baldrige is $295.

Customized Offerings
SPQA offers an array of training sessions, customized to your organization and delivered at the facility of your choice. Examples include:
• Two-hour long sessions to introduce the Baldrige concepts to your leadership.
• One- or two-day session to introduce the future users of the Framework to its content and its applicability or to strengthen processes that are already in place.
• One- or two-day sessions to prepare your organization as it embarks on its SPQA Discovery or Award recognition application.
• Half- or full-day coaching session to provide small group or one-on-one assistance to help your organization specific aspects of the Baldrige Excellence Framework relevant to your organization’s current or future performance improvement efforts.
The cost of customized offerings will be determined by their content and time commitment.
