What interested you in becoming an Examiner with SPQA?
I appreciate working with multidisciplinary teams observing and validating through consensus different continuous improvement approaches used by business, government, education, and healthcare.
What have you enjoyed the most about being an examiner?
Validating organizational performance excellence using consensus building among independent examiners with very different professional backgrounds and outlooks.
What skills have you gained since becoming a volunteer with SPQA?
The experience has sharpened my skills and added valuable knowledge used to facilitate different agencies I’ve worked for, toward becoming a high performing healthcare organization.
What do you most want to learn from this experience?
The experiences have taught me more than just validating organizational performance improvement. I have learned a lot about team building and achieving consensus withing a very limited time. Every Examination has taught me something about communication, active listening, time management, critical thinking, problem-solving, collaboration, and leadership. I believe active participation in SPQA will allow me to continue developing these essential teamwork skills.
Outside of volunteering with SPQA, what is the hobby you’re most passionate about?
Photography.
