Marie Hussey, MS, LSSBB, CMQPE. Ms Hussey has over 30 years of professional experience with the US Navy. During her varied career, she was an analytical chemist, materials engineer, auditor with the Naval Inspector General, Director of Environmental and Occupational Safety and Health Programs and retired in 2011 as the Director of Continuous Process Improvement for a major Navy research center. She has worked as an independent organizational development consultant and is currently retired. She earned her MS in Organization Development and Strategic Human Resources from Johns Hopkins University in 2009 and has retired ASQ certifications as a Navy Lean Six Sigma Black Belt and Manager of Quality and Performance Excellence. She has been a member of the SPQA Board of Directors since 2013 and is currently the SPQA Award Program Director, a member of the SPQA training staff, an examiner, organization mentor, and editor. She has been an examiner for the Malcolm Baldrige National Program and for the Maryland Performance Excellence Award.
