Eric Fletcher is the Immediate Past Board Chairman of SPQA, a volunteer position in which he provides leadership to Virginia and Washington D.C.’s premier performance excellence program. In his professional life, Eric serves as Senior Vice President of Strategy & Business Development at Mary Washington Healthcare, where he oversees corporate strategic and business development, marketing strategy, physician outreach, and performance improvement initiatives. Eric has worked at Mary Washington since 2009.
Prior to his role with Mary Washington Healthcare, Eric was with High Point Regional Health System in North Carolina for 15 years as Chief Marketing and Business Intelligence Officer. A native of North Carolina, Eric received his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, and Master of Business Administration degree from Elon University. Eric maintains credentials in Lean Six Sigma and is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE).
Eric’s service to the national Baldrige Performance Excellence Program began in 2004, when he began as an examiner for the program. He has served in various leadership posts for the Baldrige Program including examiner team lead, examiner trainer, and as a judge for the program. Eric’s service to SPQA, which uses the Baldrige Performance Excellence Framework to help Virginia and Washington D.C. organizations improve performance, began in 2014. He, his wife, and three teenage boys live in Spotsylvania, Virginia.
